YOUTH FELLOWSHIP WEEK 2022
The Church of Christ in Nation, COCIN LCC Jos Jarawa, today
marked its first day of annual Youth Fellowship Week with the Theme; Unity, the
key to Christian youth growth in Christ.
The guest speaker, Rev. Okpanachi Ebiloma gave a charge on the possibility of attaining the success of unity among the Christian families.
He took his Bible reading from the book of Genesis 11:1-9 & 1: 26, were he established that the success of unity and it's growth is built solemnly on agreement. He gave an illustration with the cordial relationship that existed in the beginning among God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He reiterated that no man is a monopoly of knowledge, whereas, we live to compliment each other.
Further more, Rev. Okpanachi admonished the congregation
saying " having the right attitude is all it takes to make it happen". However,
that wasn't the same with the Babylonians whose attitude was inclined to
humanly desires. He buttress that, even though they had the same language, same
spirit, were well
prepared and to sum it up, were determined, their ultimate goal was not
directed towards the advancement of Christ kingdom and the glorification of His
name. Therefore the success of such would be inevitably successful.
He outlined some of the root causes that led to the demolition of
the tower stating that such problems are still prevalent among the contemporary Church. This
include: self glorification, selfishness, unity against God, e.t.c.
He said, to help eradicate such menace ravaging the church, God has given each and everyone of us divine power to eliminate self and disunity among us. In his words, he said, " their is no vacuum in nature. Therefore, you have to summit yourself for the positive work of Christ if not, the vices of the devil would erupt you for his dealings”.
1) The trinity in unison created everything on earth, it is the desire of God that we be united.
2) God has made us that we be inter-dependent, YOU cannot live on your own.
3) We are made to complement each other.
4) Even in Nature, God made it that creation complement each other. Just as Plant and Animals complement each other through breathing
5) Unity is possible. We just need to start by being deliberate.
6) Since God is the creator, we being made in his image also have the ability to do things,IF we agree in our hearts.
7) If God says it is possible, we should believe IT IS POSSIBLE.
8) Breaking the barrier of disunity is possible IF we have the right attitude.
